Original Echizen Washi Notepads: These notepads are made with “flower-colored washi” paper,
known for its soft color, texture, and gentle transparency. They’re carefully crafted for a comfortable writing experience, and feature letterpress printing for a tasteful finish. Each notepad is carefully printed by artisans in our own factory, highlighting the delicate floral designs.

Soft colors achieved through pre-dyeing:

• Using our original pre-dyed Echizen washi paper “Hanairo Washi,” the milky white color of “lace flowers,” a cloud-like fluttering cluster of tiny petals, is transferred to the washi paper.
• Using our original pre-dyed Echizen washi paper “Hanairo Washi,” the pale pink of the “daisies” swaying gently in the sunlight is transferred to the washi paper.
• Using our original pre-dyed Echizen washi paper “Hanairo Washi,” the soft yellow of “mimosa” is transferred to the washi paper, as if dancing in the breeze.
• Using our original pre-dyed Echizen washi paper “Hanairo Washi,” the soft, shimmering young leaf color of “Annabelle” is transferred to the washi paper.
• Using our original pre-dyed Echizen washi paper “Hanairo Washi,” the refreshing, transparent sky blue of forget-me-nots is transferred to the washi paper.

[Pre-dyeing] is a manufacturing method in which the fibers are dyed before the paper is spun. Because the dye is applied thoroughly from the material stage, the color is characterized by its deep depth.

Comes with an envelope featuring a floral pattern.
The envelope features a delicate floral scattered pattern and a light gray interior, preventing the written content from showing through.
The letter paper features a spacious layout that makes the most of the floral design and the color of the Japanese paper, and is suitable for both vertical and horizontal writing.
The flowers on the packaging, note cards, and envelope are the work of illustrator Megumi Sasaki. The soft, detailed floral illustrations add a gentle touch to the pale-colored Japanese paper.
