“MD Notebook” uses thread binding, which is made by bending the back of a bundle of paper folded into 16 pages with thread.

Overlock binding is characterized by its good opening and strong finish. Originally, it is a bookbinding used for items that are used for a long time, such as notebooks and diaries, but we adopted it because we thought that opening the notebook 180 degrees fully was the ultimate writing comfort. Stress-free from start to finish.

This is because I thought that the poor opening and rattling of the notebook caused by attaching the cover would hinder the writing comfort of “MD notebook”. Because of that, a net called cheesecloth, which is originally hidden under the cover and rarely seen, is stuck on the back, but it is also a design icon of “MD notebook”. By using only cheesecloth without a cover on the back, the back of the notebook bends flexibly and the opening is outstanding.
